10am-4.30pm ‘The Still Life’ Portobello Photography School Workshop

11am-4pm ‘Plot 55B’ Telferton Allotments - Seed pots & packets printing and making with Felicity Bristow & Susie Wilson, plus tours of site
3pm Artist talk with Jenny Pope & rare chance to see inside one of Portobello's old kilns (Kiln open to public 1-4pm)
9pm ‘Tracing the tide’ Fish n Chip Film Night, Portobello Prom by Pipe Street (Oscars open)

11am-4pm Pottery kiln open to public
11am-4pm Typochondriacs ‘Souvenir’ participatory postcard making, near to kilns/back of harbour flats
11am-4pm ‘Plot 55B’ Telferton Allotments - Seed pots & packets printing and making with Felicity Bristow & Susie Wilson, plus tours of site
2pm Artist talk: Kiera O’Toole (Ireland) @Bellfield
4pm Artist walk ‘Cul-de-sac’ with Deirdre Macleod


Mon 9th Sept:

6-7.30pm ‘In my shoes’ sound walk with Suzanne Parry. Meet at bottom of Kings Road, circular walk with series of sound portraits (mobile phone and headphones required) (please book places via website)

Weds 11th Sept:

6-7.30pm ‘Graft’ Storytelling event & apple based refreshments, Annie Lord at Donkeyfield Orchard (please book places via website)

6.30-8.30pm Exhibition Openings at the Boathouse & Portobello Beach Cafe (Mary Walters, Jacqui Higgs & Jon Davey)
9pm ‘Tracing the tide’ Fish n Chip Film Night, Portobello Prom by Pipe Street (Oscars open)

Fri 13th Sept:

5.30-7.00pm ‘The Minor Walks’, Alec Finlay - Walk, followed by in-conversation with Claudia Zeiske (Deveron Projects). Meet at Travelling Gallery (outside Town Hall) at 5.30pm, walk starts at 6.00pm, with talk at Portobello Bookshop.

Sat 14th Sept:

10-12noon Claudia Zeiske walk re-enacting the 17th century 'Brewster Wives Walk' to Arthur's Seat from Portobello Beach, starting from Bellfield
11am & 12noon Juliana Capes & Ruth Barrie screenings @Bellfield
11am-4pm Regular screenings of ‘Echo Tides’ by anti-cool (length 15mins) @Bellfield cafe
11am-4pm ‘Plot 55B’ Telferton Allotments - Seed pots & packets printing and making with Felicity Bristow & Susie Wilson, plus tours of site
11am-5pm Travelling Gallery open with Alec Finlay’s ‘Day of Access’ exhibition (by Portobello Town Hall)

4pm-7pm Jenny Pope Community Gathering Kiln making, firing and cooking event with Judith Lamb. Portobello Beach by Pipe Street (closing event)
