Lindsay’s arts practice is concerned with the tensions that accompany boundaries, flux and temporal ‘places’. She is exhibiting work from the series ‘A Sense of Someplace’ working with anonymous 35mm slides.
Lindsay Perth is an Edinburgh-based Artist and
Photographer. Canadian born, Perth has lived in
Scotland since 1986. She has exhibited and curated
artwork nationally and internationally and worked with
arts organisations across Scotland for 19 years.
A common thread in Perth’s work is a preoccupation
with temporal ‘places’ and spaces characterised by flux
and fluidity. She aims to sympathetically observe ideas
related to states such as anxiety or the sublime. Perth’s
work has a strong socially-engaged element and is
preoccupied with the role of art and creative processes
within the contexts of social change and collaboration.
Perth works across forms
including installation, moving image, photography,
interactivity, and socially-engaged art.
