Peter Jones - drawings and paintings made outside in pen and watercolour, of houses, historic buildings, sea and land. This show launches Peter’s new book of Portobello paintings as well as new landscape pieces.

Peter studied History of Art and French at St Andrew’s University and after graduating in 1997 spent 2 years living and working in Paris where he attended drawing classes and began exhibiting his work. Since then he has exhibited widely and has steadily built up commission based work for clients including The Britanny Tourist Board, Scottish Field Magazine and The Weir Group as well as countless private individuals.

Sat 8th, 10am, Prom painting demonstration by Swim Centre

Greta McMillan uses sophisticated Tobii eyegaze technology to track the movement of her eyes, creating digital paintings. She uses her eye to sketch a quick line through to pouring paint onto a virtual canvas.

Greta is a young Edinburgh artist who has had her art work recognised by the Scottish Parliament, and has had a film work exhibited at the Royal Scottish Academy in 2017. As well as her recent exhibition (Jan 18) at the Skylark, Portobello (with digital production by artist Chris Dooks), she has been recently working with designer Kestin Hare and Bare Branding on large scale pieces for an exhibition at the Custom Lane Gallery, Leith (April 2018). Greta is currently working with artist Ellie Griffiths of Upfront Performance Network on a sensory exhibition in Hudiksvalls, Sweden (Sep 2018). Greta’s pieces respond to the poem "Dover beach" by Matthew Arnold.
