Paintings of contemporary landscapes in oil, acrylics and collage, informed by the natural and urban landscape in which the artist lives, both here in Edinburgh and in Southwest Scotland.
Since her art school days, Teresa has remained interested in exploring the psychology of space. That is, how we feel when we find ourselves in an unfamiliar setting. By this, she means, an irrational feeling of angst/uncertainty as you travel through a place.
This is her third year participating in Artwalk Porty.
Teresa graduated from Glasgow School of Art 1994, BA(Hons) Fine Art. She was awarded the Jock McPhie painting prize, and later graduated with MPhil from GSA and Glasgow University in 2003.
More recently, she have been a regular artist in Velvet Easel gallery, Portobello, exhibited at the RSA and had a solo exhibition at Coburg House, Leith. She returned to the visual arts after 20 years in education.
