Amy Dennis

OPEN: 4/5 & 11/12 SEPTEMBER

63/1 Morton Street

Amy's practice consists of painting landscape and objects, both observed and imagined, using innovative techniques and materials. She has been experimenting with building constructed low relief surfaces, using pigmented and polished plaster as a painting ground with a strong material presence. These pieces will be shown in her beautiful home studio, which is designed to also work as an exhibition space.

Amy Dennis studied Drawing and Painting at Edinburgh College of Art, graduating in 2000. She is a Jolomo Foundation Landscape painting award winner (2013), Royal Scottish Academy William Littlejohn Award for excellence and innovation in water-based medium winner (2018) and has exhibited with the Scottish Gallery, Edinburgh since 2009, in regular Society group shows and has work in public collections.
