Jude Nixon is a mixed media artist whose practice reflects her interest in inscription, mark making and excavation. She uses a wide range of traditional and non traditional materials including; oil paint, graphite, gesso, size, pigments and varnishes. The subject of her work reflects an absorption with natural form and elements. She is currently working on a diverse body of work with a focus on material collected from the sea shore at the point where land meets water.
Since leaving Leith School of Art where Jude studied drawing, painting and contemporary practice she has been invited to exhibit work at a range of venues including : the RSA Open 2016, Patriothall 2016, and St Margaret’s House.
