An exhibition of paintings and prints based on the urban coastline, nostalgic hand printed images of iconic spots around Scotland, and seaside themed lino cuts in a homage to Portobello’s playful past.

"I enjoy focusing on the geometries of our urban coastline: its landmarks and registry points. The reimagining of iconic landmarks of Scotland, and further afield, has inspired me to create my latest print series. In my paintings, I capture moments when our built up, open spaces are calm, peaceful and silent."

Biography:





Dylan studied art at Waikato University in New Zealand, specialising in fibres and fabrics and studying contemporary Maori and Pacific art, before teaching for many years in Scotland. In recent years he embarked on screen printing and stone-carving courses, and has experimented with stencilling, lino cuts, and painting. He also enjoys planning and executing large scale creative projects.
